Karina Rivera
Karina is a proud Boricua Chi-town native who’s deeply passionate about dance, entertainment, the arts, education, and caregiving. Killarina holds a BA of Arts, Human Development and Learning in Education from University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a friendly neighborhood caregiver, professional street dancer, street dance practitioner, performer, battler, educator, culture curator, event contributor, hostess, emcee, and a community organizer specializing and focusing on street dance and battle culture events and gatherings. Her ongoing involvement in the Chicago street dance scene and overall dance communities focuses on access, inclusion, education, bridging, uplifting, healing, preserving, nurturing, fostering, culturally curating, empowering, and assisting in building respect for street dance and battle culture while maintaining its essence and bridging other dance communities, scenes, spaces, individuals, and styles together. She is a core member of Chibuck Movement (Chicago Krump Movement).
