Rachel Damon

Rachel Damon, co-founder and an Artistic Director of Synapse Arts, is a Chicago-based multi-disciplinary artist. Her work spans onstage and backstage, as a theatrical and production designer, choreographer, educator as well as dancer/performer, and has garnered honors from The Chicago Dancemakers Forum, The Illinois Arts Council, 3Arts, The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Ragdale Foundation, the Morrison Shearer Foundation, South House, and the Chicago Cultural Center, among others. She has taught extensively throughout Chicago and the Midwest, and her production and design work has appeared in venues locally and internationally.
