Peggy Sutton

Born to a south side Chicago family of artists and educators, JaSaun L. Buckner is a media producer and strategist, and the granddaughter of the founders of Mayfair Academy of Fine Arts, an institution that nurtured generations of Black excellence through dance, discipline, and self-expression. As the founder of Visionary Media and co-founder of DREAM, Buckner develops content and mentorship programs that amplify Black stories. Her career spans over two decades in which she has collaborated with media platforms including Nickelodeon, Black Entertainment Television (BET), and Spotify, as well as individual creatives including Oprah, Simone Leigh and Rashida Bumbray. Additionally, she has led strategic brand campaigns for companies including Mars, AT&T, and Buick, among others. Not least, Buckner is the producer of the critically acclaimed film In Our Mothers’ Gardens.
