Kenny Ingram is originally from San Jose, California, where he was introduced to dance through high school theater. His role as Little Richard in a Marriott's Great America show, The Evolution of Rock, brought him to Chicago, were he began training with Lou Conte as part of the first scholarship cohort at the Lou Conte Dance Studio which led to teaching with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, among other studios. He continued teaching even as he moved between performing in Chicago and on Broadway, until relocating to New York City 2008, when he was a cast for The Lion King, a role he held for 10 years. Ingram continues to choreograph, direct, and teach dance in New York City.
