Jeffrey "Jeff G" Smith

Born in 1981, Jeff G has been a respected figure within Chicago’s Footwork culture for over three decades. He began dancing at the age of 14 and gained recognition in the Footwork community within two years, building his reputation as a fierce battler and community leader. Jeff G is a founding member of Main Attraction, one of the city’s most recognized Footwork crews, which has grown to over 50 active dancers. He has performed across Chicago on platforms including Channel 19, Channel 7, and Fox 32, as well as at local high school pep rallies, the local Bud Billiken Parade, and the Austin community’s Danny Davis Parade. Throughout his career, Jeff has remained deeply connected to the city’s youth and community spaces, contributing to programs at recreation centers such as Columbus Park, Austin Town Hall, and Catholic Park. Today, he owns and operates MUV Correctly & Friends Dance Studio, which he founded. MUV, standing for “Move Your Vision,” is a dance space for youth and adults established with a commitment to teaching movement with purpose and individual authenticity.
