Board Treasurer
Michael Anderson is an accomplished fundraising professional and passionate advocate for arts and education. A former professional dancer with the Joffrey Ballet, he has transitioned into a key role in arts administration and fundraising, driving financial growth and development for higher education and cultural organizations. Michael has served on the boards of numerous civic, artistic, and cultural organizations nationwide, including as a founding member of the Chicago Dance Health Fund. He is currently the board president of The Gerald Arpino Foundation, dedicated to preserving the legacy of Gerald Arpino and Robert Joffrey, founders of the Joffrey Ballet. With a background that blends extensive dance experience and expertise in fundraising, Michael brings a unique perspective to advancing arts and cultural institutions. Originally from Salt Lake City and raised in Juneau, Alaska, he has spent 20 years as a professional dancer and now champions the arts from behind the scenes.
