DJ Slugo, born, raised, and based on Chicago’s south side, is recognized as a pioneer of Ghetto House and Juke music, and a force behind the raw, energetic sound that influenced generations of footworkers, DJs, and electronic artists. A musician since the 80s, DJ Slugo began DJing at a high school dance and has continued, for three decades, to advance the art form.
