Paul Sanasardo

Paul Sanasardo is a Chicago-born dancer, choreographer, and educator known for his modern dance career and work on Broadway. He has worked with Martha Graham, Pina Bausch, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He founded the Paul Sanasardo-Donya Feuer Dance Company in 1957, which ran for over two decades. He also established the Studio for Dance in New York City, now known as Modern Dance Artists, Inc. From 1977 to 1981, Sanasardo served as the Artistic Director of Batsheva Dance Company. His company, The Paul Sanasardo Dancers, was formerly in residence at the Hyde Park School of Dance. His works continue to be performed by companies, including the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
