The full interview is available on the finding aid and will be available at the Newberry soon.

Patti Vickerman began her tap dance training in Florida with Steve Condos and joined her father's vaudeville at age five. Together they toured and performed nationally and internationally as Jimmy Byrnes and Patti. Though she left the act at age 20, Vickerman’s career in tap dance persisted. She danced with the Cartier Collective, and she later owned and operated a dance school in the Chicago suburbs. Vickerman performed in the early years of "Especially Tap Chicago" while maintaining a career as an emergency room nurse.
