House-O-Matics
Bryant “BT” Taylor is a Chicago-born dancer and choreographer raised in Riverdale, Illinois. He began dancing in 1988 at the age of 10, developing his foundation in Chicago’s street and House dance practice in the context of Markham’s Skating rink, an iconic pillar of south suburban Chicago’s youth and dance culture during a pivotal era in the movement's history. From 1994 to 1999, BT was a member of the respected Chicago dance group House-O-Matics, sharpening his freestyle, musicality, and battle presence. In 1999, he founded his own group, The Phirm, continuing to cultivate Chicago footwork and House dance traditions while mentoring younger dancers. Since 2018, BT has served as choreographer for Impact Assassins, contributing to make and perform dance that bridges foundational street styles with contemporary staging. (2026)
