Born in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, Antonio "Wicked" Anderson began dancing at the age of six. After moving to the Ida B. Wells homes in Bronzeville in 1988, Wicked joined his first crew, the Disco Dancing House Posse. From 1990 to 1992 he danced with the Abraham Lincoln Center Dancers, also known as UGGP / UGBP (“U Go Girl U Go Boy Posse”), before joining, in 1992, the Phase 2 dance group. Though he spent a brief period with House-O-Matics in 1995, Wicked remains active to the present day with Phase 2, marking a 34-year footwork practice. Wicked’s influence spans all aspects of dancemaking; his performance, teaching, and mentorship has impacted, and continues to impact, multiple generations of Chicago dancers. (2026)
