Roberta Rothstein is the founder and artistic director of Movementum Dance Theatre in Washington, DC. Originally from New York, she trained at Alvin Ailey School before coming to the University of Illinois at Chicago to gain her Masters in Social Work. During her stay in Chicago, she danced with Joel Hall Dancers and trained with Lou Conte and Larry Long.
