Carol L. Doty

Carol Doty began serving on the Board of Trustees with the Morrison-Shearer Foundation in 2002 and served as its Chair from 2006 until her retirement in 2021. She is the editor of Volume Three of Sybil Shearer's autobiography, Within This Thicket. Doty met Shearer in 1993, not through dance, but through their mutual interest in the naturalist Jens Jensen, and The Clearing, Jensen’s “Folk School” in Wisconsin, where Sybil took her dancers in the 1940s and where Doty had volunteered since 1972.
